ediddy Posted January 23, 2012 #1 Posted January 23, 2012 I have an mp3 and was going to download songs from Itunes. I downloaded a song to my computer but can't get it to transfer to my mp3. Tech support at Itunes said I could only download to an Ipod and not an mp3. I've talked to other people that said they had mp3's and were able to download. Can anyone tell me if this is correct? Thanks,
Sylvester Posted January 23, 2012 #2 Posted January 23, 2012 I had an MP3 but was never able to download from i-tunes. I now have ipods and they are great.
utadventure Posted January 23, 2012 #3 Posted January 23, 2012 The mp3 player you have may not be compatible with iTunes as a management tool. If the player came with software, you may have to use it. Another approach: Open the icon "My Computer" and review the drives listed, now connect your mp3 player and see if a new drive appears. This will let you know what letter your player is when connected. It may be as simple as dragging and dropping the music on to your player, or copying to your player. Dave
BoomerCPO Posted January 23, 2012 #4 Posted January 23, 2012 To the best of my knowledge iTunes will only download to Apple iPod's. WalMart has the programs for downloading music to MP3's. Boomer....who sez moosic soothes de savage beast and rowdy pygmies too.
alwrmcusn Posted January 23, 2012 #5 Posted January 23, 2012 You may just need a file converter. I use one called "Switch Sound Converter" It's free (there is also a $$ version). http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Audio/Audio-Convertors/Switch.shtml There are other programs available also.
GAWildKat Posted January 23, 2012 #6 Posted January 23, 2012 any song listed on itunes can be transferred to an mp3 that hooks up to your computer. It's too early yet for me to discuss it (just woke up and having my coffee).
BuddyRich Posted January 23, 2012 #7 Posted January 23, 2012 Depending on when you downloaded them you can convert them to mp3's. http://www.maniactools.com/soft/m4a-to-mp3-converter/index.shtml Is a free m4a /aac file converter. You can convert them from Apple's m4a format and save them as mp3 where ever ... If they are m4p files though you won't be able to. That was the era when apple was copy protecting your itunes downloads.
Guest tx2sturgis Posted January 23, 2012 #8 Posted January 23, 2012 If your player came with software, then use that. If not, then download and run MediaMonkey. It will parse all the music in your iTunes library, convert anything that needs converting, and load it on your player. http://www.mediamonkey.com/
ScottW Posted January 23, 2012 #9 Posted January 23, 2012 I've used double twist to transfer my itunes list to my droid phone. It worked well
