sadicarnot Posted January 22, 2012 #1 Posted January 22, 2012 My RSTD started groaning from the rear end. I replaced the tires back in November and thought I put enough grease on all the rear end components. Very surprised that it is groaning all things considered. Anyway I have a YSS shock coming so I think I will go ahead and replace it by removing the rear wheel route.
etcswjoe Posted January 22, 2012 #2 Posted January 22, 2012 Did you pull the pins out of the wheel and grease them too?
steamer Posted January 22, 2012 #3 Posted January 22, 2012 Did you align the axcel? There's a procedure here somewhere for doing it.
sadicarnot Posted January 22, 2012 Author #4 Posted January 22, 2012 Did you pull the pins out of the wheel and grease them too? Yeah I took it all apart, cleaned everything and thought I had put enough grease on everything.
sadicarnot Posted January 22, 2012 Author #5 Posted January 22, 2012 Did you align the axcel? There's a procedure here somewhere for doing it. I did align the axel, but wonder now if maybe I did it wrong. I'll have to look for the procedure.
etcswjoe Posted January 23, 2012 #6 Posted January 23, 2012 Here is the thread that discussed the rear wheel awhile back. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/sh...ad.php?t=62504

hunter 1500 Posted January 23, 2012 #8 Posted January 23, 2012 I had the same problem because I didn't loosen the acorn nuts on the drive when I put the wheel back on. Went on here and found the instructions and it was fine after that.
