I am looking for a stock horn for my 2008 RSV. I have adjusted the one on the front, behind the left fairing. It is somewhat louder now. The one near my right side is sick / dead!! I would like to purchase one from someone on this site who no longer needs theirs, or has repalced them with an air horn. Thanks for any help you can offer.

I replaced my rear with an air horn, I think I still have my stock one around somewhere. I'll look for it.

Let me know if you need me to look. I have 2, here somewhere.

I am ready to arrange the shipping if you found a horn / horns.

I'll start a search party...:fingers-crossed-emo

Do yourself a HUGE favor and install the Stebel air horn, the stock horns

are inadequate.

I too have one if needed.

I just picked up 2 sets of jeep liberty horns from the local wrecking yard for $15. ..

I chose these horns for thier beefy sound and small profile. I will be mounting one under each saddle bag pointing out and the other 2 in front pointing down or maybe on the forks pointing down. These are not flashy chromed but should blend in with the dark spots on the bike.

I love the way they sound. Will include pictures and video when I get them mounted.Hope to put them on tommorow.

P.S I will be powering them through a relay.

I just went through this with my horns. Test the horn straight to battery, WOW, the horn not working worked!

The horn switch carries all the current for the horns, no relay. Contacts in the switch not getting enought current to the horns.

Installed a relay to supply ground for horn circuit, stock horns are loud now. Use the horn switch to activate the relay.

Cleaning switch will work for awhile but problem will return.

NOTE: The horn behind the left flairing pulls 2amps, higher frequency horn, the horn on the right side at rear of engine pulls 4amps, low frequency.

Best of Luck

THIS is why when I installed the Stebel horn on my RSV that I ran a larger wire from the relay to the horn behind the left fairing. I also used a larger wire to ground it right to one of the mounting bolts.
