Bobby G Posted January 2, 2012 #1 Posted January 2, 2012 New on the shelf at my local Wal-Mart, right next to the Seafoam, is what looks like a new product from STP. Even the can is a Seafoam knock-off! The verbiage on the can reads just like Seafoam, too. Anyone see this yet? It may have been out for awhile, but I just noticed it last week. It was on sale for about $1.50 less than SF, so I picked up a few cans to try out. I guess it supports the adage "if you can't beat em, join em"!
Sylvester Posted January 2, 2012 #2 Posted January 2, 2012 I haven't noticed it at the Walmarts that I go to, but I wasn't looking either. I bought twelve cans of Seafoam when it was on sale for $6.59 at my NAPA store. That will last til next winter. I have treated the gas in two tractors and four mowers plus I use gas mixed with Seafoam in all my gasolene powered equipment.
Condor Posted January 2, 2012 #3 Posted January 2, 2012 There are quite as few additives on the market, but none seem to get the results or meet the popularity of Sea Foam. The STP can does look like the Sea Foam, but that doesn't neccesarly mean it's the same formula. http://www.stp.com/products/multipurpose-additives/multipurpose-motor-treatment/
Yammer Dan Posted January 2, 2012 #4 Posted January 2, 2012 I saw it but didn't look very close. I buy Sea-Foam by the gallon. Got last Gallon from Advance Auto for 42 bucks with Promo code.
