rbjohnsn Posted December 21, 2011 #1 Posted December 21, 2011 I have looked high and low for the condenser. It is showen in the sechematic and wiring drawings but NO ware on it's phycial location. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
M61A1MECH Posted December 21, 2011 #2 Posted December 21, 2011 (edited) Are you talking about the "smoothing condensor" that is shown inside of the fairing? See attacment for clarification. If that is the one I cannot say I have seen it or looked for it when I have split the fairing, but with the the mess of wires, cables and connectors in there it could be easy to miss that is for sure. If that is not the one you are talking about a screen shot or parts list reference could be helpful for others to locate it. Edited December 22, 2011 by M61A1MECH spelling correction
reddevilmedic Posted December 21, 2011 #3 Posted December 21, 2011 thats what i need....a "soothing condenser". actually 2, i for each cheek! ok, no really...whats a soothing condenser?
dingy Posted December 21, 2011 #4 Posted December 21, 2011 (edited) It's SMoothing condensor. Reduces staic in the electrical 12v system. 1st gen MKII have 2 of them, 1 near the shock damper (about 1 1/4" dia x 3" long 2 wires). Another in the radio pocket, this on is more of a square mount.
