In following your lead, and still in the infant stages, I have initiated a similar walk. We have a homeless guy in our church. I would say hi to him in the past, but never really talked to him. Sunday while thinking of your story, I walked up to him early on and had a short conversation with him. I then went and got my 4 month old granddaughter and walked over and sat down next to him and "introduced them to each other" He said she was pretty..she said something like "Hmfmfgdromfm".

I then returned her to my daughter. As I walked back by I noticed he was crying. I grabbed a few napkins and sat back down next to him and asked if everything was OK. Didn't get an answer, but he wiped the tears away. I sat next to him during the whole service and found out he knows a lot about guitars ( I know nothing !). I walked him out after church and shook his hand telling him I would see him next time. It takes awhile to earn somebody's trust enough to learn "their story". I hope to learn Randy's story and maybe help him get back to family.

Thanks for the inspiration. :sun:
