talonsx2 Posted December 19, 2011 #1 Posted December 19, 2011 so i have been trying to put the bike back together for about 8 months now and I want to make the bike the priority now but i have come to a stand still. I can't seem to figure out where all the radiator hoses go? and if i can put the radiator on first? or so the hoses have to be on place first? pics would be great.. thanks in advance. mike:225:
muffinman Posted December 19, 2011 #2 Posted December 19, 2011 Mike. Yes the radiator can go on first the hoses are real easy to see where they go but if. You need to look in the tech section the service manual has a section with the routing sorry can't do pics I am 195 miles from my bike
dingy Posted December 19, 2011 #3 Posted December 19, 2011 Attached are a few pictures of hoses on an 83 with 88 hose & thermostat sensor junction. The small hose out of the thermostat sensor junction block runs down to the cover between the cylinders on the right side. Radiator can go on prior to hoses to heads. You will want to put thermostat and lower hoses on prior to putting radiator in. After radiator is in, then install junction block on right side which connects head hoses. Gary
