So, if I read this right, you guys get Christmas (Eve?) AND Boxing Day off with pay??? We're going to have to sit down and compare paid Holidays off with other countries and see who's got the best deal! A move might be in order!

Happy Boxing Day!

Yup.

Thanks, personally I saved a couple days vacation so I was off from the 18th and have to go back on the 7th of January. Even more days than that Teacher friend of mine.

But,, please dont forget about the wonderful land of opportunity here in the USA.. For instance,,, last year I took a total of 45 days off and paid myself for it.. I am self employed, rode most of those 45 days, visited a number of bike dealerships and shows in the process, not only made over 16 grand during that time (Sturgis, Daytona, 4 Bike Blessings and then a couple dealer expo's) but had a BLAST of time. Our country is VERY condusive to doing your own thing and VERY encouraging on tax deductions and the like to help you make it,,,,, if your sincere... Personally,, I LOVE the opportunity here and wouldnt live anywhere else cause there is no where else that has it this good...

Just thought I would cast my vote...

Christmas Eve isn't a statuatory holiday, so most people don't get it off (unless they book it as a vacation day).

I do think we're pretty even on holidays in North America.

Depends on who you work for. I have 5 Holidays this time of year.Christmas Eve,Christmas Day,Boxing Day,New Years Eve and New Years Day.I chose to work the first 2 (8to4)At which Iam paid double time plus the holiday. This is in our contract.
