Linda and I got here to Melbourne Austarlia a couple days ago and have hardly stopped. Dining is a real experience on Ligon street as there are 2 blocks on both sides of the street with sidewalk cafes.

Decisions, decisions - the easiest way to decide is to look at their menu that's posted on the sidewalk or in their window is to and check out which beer or wine we want with our meal.

The zoo, Melbourne Museum, Victoria Market - shoulda brought the bike when I see how much walking we're doing.

None the less, we're having way too much fun

Will you be seeing Annie and her hubby while you're down under. Be a shame to get all the way there and not get a visit in for the rest of us living vicariously through you.:thumbsup2:

Unfortunately, Annie and Allan are on the OTHER side of the continent. We are settled in on the East coast and the are about as far West as can be.

So rent a scoot and buzz on over to her. It is the smallest continent on the planet ya know.

If you plan it right you could pick up Annies scoot and drive it over to her, I think she is still waiting for it to finish its trip from the USA.

That would heve been quite the experience - wish I had more time :bang head:

And you would need about 4-5 days to ride across the paddock [Nullabor Plains]

Glad you are playing "tourist" and fitting in lots of things :big-grin-emoticon:

Dick,

Just wanted to say the wife & I are very happy for you and your wife. :thumbsup2: We had such a good time there and we are now planning a trip again here in a couple of years.

Hope you and yours are finding as much enjoyment as we did and are having as much fun! :sign woo hoo:

Wish we could have went down this year and had a friend to go out with some. Enjoy!!

Bryan

PS. I know you are a day ahead over there so could you get the winning lottery numbers and I'll play them and share with you? :rotfl: :rotfl:

When we went the first time I had four employees that I told that to and gave me money to play....... Guess it shows how dumb some of the people I work with are. :bawling:

We are at the end of our 'down under' journey. I know we didn't do/see nearly as much as we should have but time runs really fast when you don't want it to.

Yes Brian it would have been great to have someone to help decifer the trams/busses and all the other modes of transportation.

I totally whimped out and DID NOT rent a car after seeing some of the traffic I would have had to contend with.

Bottom line - GREAT time, lotta fun and not nearly enough time.

Hey Dick,

I don't blame you a bit. First time we were down there wife wanted me to get a car and I was to chicken, I knew I would pull into the wrong lane. :yikes: (Did you see how they do "right" turns down town?) They pull over in front of the traffic waiting at the red light, then it turns green and they go. Kind of a neat way to keep traffic from slowing down but would be a bear to get use to at my age! :backinmyday:

But the next trip down we will be getting a car, and did you see you can rent a HD at a shop down town? We will rent one for a couple of days too. :sign woo hoo: Hey did you get a HD shirt with the Kangaroo on it? We got a couple last time for gifts. :thumbsup2:

Safe trip home and enjoy the memories! :photographing:
