Tried a new battery, cleaned the terminals still dead. If you have how would one go about trouble shooting to determine which electric component needs replacing? Sometimes I have found that the aftermarket ones will loose there programming and there will be a procedure in the installation/owners guide to reprogram. Venturous Randy Posted December 10, 2011 Share #11 Posted December 10, 2011 Not sure how that unit works, but on my Maxima, you program the car to the remote. Anytime I had to program the car, I had to reprogram it to all remotes. When I had two dark green Maximas, one for me and one for my now ex, both cars were programed to all remotes. If the cars were setting together, when I used the remote, both cars would lock or unlock simultaneously. If they were parked side by side, like at a restaurant, it was neat to watch people walk by and both cars blink at the same time. I could also roll down the front windows with the remote. That also tripped people out when standing beside the car. The downside was if I unlocked the trunk on one, both unlocked. RandyA Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
