stardbog Posted December 26, 2007 #1 Posted December 26, 2007 This Morning my battery was week and I couldnt start a bike... no big deal, hooked up battery tender and left to ride with Stratoliner. make 120 miles and get back home. Battery tender was flashing orange light what mean bad battery. Try to unplug and plug back.. but each time have same reading. So after 3 winters it's a time to buy new battery. I will go with Odyssey or glass mat gel batteries, as well motorcycle Li-ion High capacity. Where is best deal for batteries. what is your experience which one is best replacement for stock one, or should i just go with stock one.? Thanks
dray Posted December 26, 2007 #2 Posted December 26, 2007 i belive a few like the Odyssey you could do a search and find post on it as to what one fits good luck Dray

stardbog Posted December 26, 2007 Author #6 Posted December 26, 2007 Well Looks like Odyssey 545 is Listed as right one for 2nd gen Venture I'll take measurements tomorow from YUASA stock just to make comparation is 680 model will fit in battery tray.
Condor Posted December 26, 2007 #7 Posted December 26, 2007 Well Looks like Odyssey 545 is Listed as right one for 2nd gen Venture I'll take measurements tomorow from YUASA stock just to make comparation is 680 model will fit in battery tray. On my 1stGen the PC680 came close to fitting, but I still had to shim up the sides with sheet styrofoam to fill the voids, and it is about a half inch taller. Works dandy. One thing I noticed different between the old Yuasa and the Odyssey is the Odyssey weighs twice as much as the old batt even though it has a smaller footprint. The best prices seem to be on Ebay. I checked with my local battery supplier and his price was about $25 bucks higher than Ebay sellers and sales tax on top of that. Ebay sellers generally include shipping and don't charge sale tax.
