I'm not sure how much I'll be able to access the WWW while we are in Africa so I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year before we leave.

Hey, they don't live on trees there...of course you will have access to Internet.

They only show you the very poor areas and villages here on tv to get your charitable donations, very little of which really get there.

Well, a slight delay. We've been stuck (kind of like quick sand)here in Washington DC for almost 24 hours. As we taxied out last night the plane lost oil pressure on #3 engine so back we came and after six hours of waiting on the plane they sent us all to hotels. They have just anounced boarding for our flight today at 2:00. This is starting to fell like the amazing race. Stay tuned.
