Is Soundhound an actual Karaoke app?

No, its a way to sing along with any song thats playing on the radio...since it shows the lyrics. Its not really a karaoke app...I thought it might be useful, and Bob mentioned lyrics so I thought it might be a helpful app.

There are two things I dont do: and singing is BOTH of them. :cool10:

I downloaded the free version of Karaoke HD for my ipad.

Seems to work ok for the included songs, I didnt try the subscription service.

I'm not a singer but I was 'sorta, kinda' able to 'more or less' make some sounds during the readout of the lyrics.

Kinda fun.

But I wont be quiting my day job anytime soon!

I know you'll not be trying any of these Don...you dont 'do apps'...

Well, I will be completely honest. I DID download Karaoke Anywhere for the Iphone JUST in the interest of research to help our friend. :) It seems to be a pretty good app although I've never done Karaoke. From their website, it appears that it will be available for the Android very soon.

Well, the contract is finally up on my Blackberry and I'm going to be moving on to something else soon. The company made me get the Blackberry and I have hated it since the first day. The buttons are just too small for my club fingers. The company decided about 3 months after making us all get them that maybe it wasn't such a great idea after all. Soooo...I have been looking and trying to decide what to try next. My son loves his IPhone but I am just not a huge fan of it. I haven't spend much time playing with his though...maybe it would grow on me. At any rate, it will either be the Iphone or one of the Androids. Maybe the new Motorola Razr.

Freebird I used to have one of the older Motorola Razors. It was one of the best phones I ever had. And a lot of people at work have said the same thing. I now have one of the Tundra Tough flip phones. It broke a spring in the flip mechanism very early when purchased. Not much for video either. The razor was great and I got many good deer videos while hunting. A very good simple reliable phone. I will check out these new Razors you mention. Thanks...:thumbsup2:

This is going back to the beginning I know and possibly been answered already. Yes the iphone and new razr have internal "non-replaceable" batteries, that is unless you know how to do it. http://www.ifixit.com/ What I like about it is it has videos and step by step directions showing you to do various things and not just limited to phones. Has stuff on game consoles and many other topics. My 4S is only a month or 2 old so I haven't needed it but I have references now in case I do need it. One word of warning the screws used now on the new phones are different than the older ones. The replacements are the older style so if you have an issue that needs sent back to Apple they might see the screws are different and will say no go because it has been tampered with.

Also even though you have 16gb of storage that doesn't mean that is how much free space you have. The 16bg is total storage. After the o/s installed and all that I think it is more like 12gb free space if I remember right.

OK....first of all a warning for TX2STURGIS. Please stop reading NOW. This is already hard enough.

After using the Iphone for a couple of weeks now and becoming more familiar with it. I have to publicly admit that I am kind of starting to l......uh....li.......I mean....lik.........heck...I just can't say it. OK.....it's not so bad. :whistling:

It pains me deeply to admit that I've actually downloaded a couple of apps and am having a bit of fun with it. I actually download the free version of AmpKit yesterday. I later stopped by a Guitar Center and picked up the IRig for connecting my guitar to the Iphone, plugged in a set of headphones and played for an hour or so last night. The built in effects in the AmpKit are pretty dang nice. I read some very mixed reviews for the IRig and apparently there are better interface choices out there but this one uses no batteries and actually worked pretty well. I may keep it or return it and try something else but I'm relatively happy with it. What pains me even MORE is to admit that I actually PURCHASED a couple of apps from the app store. Both guitar related and cheap but work well.

That being said, I am STILL not happy with the fact that I have to buy and install any apps through the Istore. I will very likely jailbreak this thing just as soon as they come up with a jailbreak for the 4s. Primarily so that I can install PDAnet to use it for a hotspot. If that doesn't happen soon, I will still likely try a Droid for replacing the Blackberry on my other line primarily so that I can install PDAnet and also get 4G speed when available. I feel that surely the IPhone 5 will be 4G but I don't know when that will be available.

Is Soundhound an actual Karaoke app? I haven't tried I thought it was more for searching for songs. What I mean by a true Karaoke app is that you don't sing along with the artist, it just plays the track with no voice added.

If you do a Google search for Android Karaoke there will be a few come up. Unfortunately, most of them have pretty poor reviews. There is one for the Iphone called Karaoke Anywhere and it gets good reviews for the Iphone. It is not yet available for the Android but their website says "coming soon".

Assimilation is harmless and painless...

In fact the Apple cool-aid can be quite tasty, Boss.

geezzzzzzzzzz................I ASKED you to not read that. :whistling:

Don't worry...I know you won't ever be a fan of Apple....but there IS a reason they have sold 150 million iPhones...cuz, people...even a few people in Ohio...seem to like them. Just a little.

The link worked for me and it is indeed RIM. :)

Yea, it's not looking good for them. They are trying everything to recover but it may well be too little and too late. I now have a like new Blackberry Bold 9650 in the drawer. I don't think they are even bringing enough money to worry about trying to sell it.
