painterman67 Posted November 22, 2011 Share #26 Posted November 22, 2011 i just want him mostly for the hide.........hes been seen twice in daylight but no shot was available. 80 yards out in bow season....that solid white hide will make a pretty tanned hide. CaptainJoe Posted November 22, 2011 Share #27 Posted November 22, 2011 Was a dreadful day to hunt yesterday. I hunt an extreemely brushy area and the low clouds kept rolling in making it impossible to see. So, I moved to one of my old deer blinds and about 30 minute later, look who showed up. On second thought, it wasn't too dreadfull after all. Happy THanksgiving to you and yours!

playboy Posted November 28, 2011 Share #40 Posted November 28, 2011 Maybe for the 2012 season we can have a big rack contest and a big buck contest with our entry fee's going to the site. Maybe come up with a prize for the winner like a new guardian bell or something. Of course YammerDan may need a new dog house if the warden catches him. FROG MAN Posted November 29, 2011 Author Share #44 Posted November 29, 2011 Had that big 8 coming in to the feeder everyday. Then opening day of season he stopped by for a second to say he was going into hiding til season was over. He was seen yesterday but not at my feeder. Must have give up corn for adult doe activity somewhere else.

Flyinfool Posted November 30, 2011 Share #46 Posted November 30, 2011 I got my 2 bucks for this year. one in WI and one in MI. One was a nice yummy 6 pointer and the other was very tender 1 pointer. I have no good recipes for antlers so if a big 10 and a fork walk up together, I'll take the fork. There are no doe tags in the areas that I hunt or I would have gladly taken one or more of those too. I saw deer every day of the season. These were the only 2 bucks that I saw. I had to study that one pointer for 15 minutes before I decided that it was a legal shooter. It had only one antler and it was 3 1/8 inches long. FROG MAN Posted December 5, 2011 Author Share #47 Posted December 5, 2011 8 does stopping by to clean out my feeder. I got them under contract to cut and fertilize the grass to. No bucks coming in. Guess those bucks got the same deal as my neighbors. Women does all the work, makes the living, and keeps the men.Still trying to talk Ramona into that deal.
