DragonRider Posted November 13, 2011 #10 Posted November 13, 2011 Really was unsure whether to open this thread, but I knew the moderators would have deleted it if it xxx rated so I pushed the button anyway...................My conclusion is the Venture is bigger and better than the HD...................

That kind of depends on what you want to use it for,,, do with it.. If it's for riding, I'd pick the Venture, unless I had to do parking lot maneuvers. If it were for show, more people would be impressed and talk about the Harley I think. Depends on your pleasure I guess.
Snaggletooth Posted November 13, 2011 #12 Posted November 13, 2011 When I took my ERC several years ago on my '84 one of the instructors was joking around when I lined up with the rest of the class with a varied assortment of bikes, including his and couple other Ultras. "Sir, this is an Experienced Rider Course.....not the Monster Bike rally."
a1bummer Posted November 13, 2011 #13 Posted November 13, 2011 I stopped into the local stealer for some break pads for my 84. The guy behind the counter refereed to it as "a house with wheels". I don't know about all that, but it sure did come with a nice view! Bill
1 Canuck Posted November 14, 2011 #14 Posted November 14, 2011 Ultra's got the bigger price and bigger cans.
leo3wheel Posted November 14, 2011 #15 Posted November 14, 2011 There must be an optical illusion, because the RSV is 104.5 inches long and the Ultra 98.6. Sure looks like more than that in the picture. http://www.venturers.org/Forum/images/smilies/humm_smilie.gif
