talonsx2 Posted October 24, 2011 #1 Posted October 24, 2011 Have a quick question for you all, I am trying to put the venture back together after the teardown for the 2nd gear and I have come to the point of putting the carbs back on the bike. I have also replaced the throttle cables and I just wanted to be sure I didn't miss something. So here is the question; Will the carb diaphrams slide when you twist the throttle while the bike is not running? Mine do not slide at this time?? thanks in advance. mike
Snaggletooth Posted October 24, 2011 #2 Posted October 24, 2011 (edited) Nope, they are activated by the air intake as the engine fires and runs. Edited October 24, 2011 by Snaggletooth
MiCarl Posted October 24, 2011 #3 Posted October 24, 2011 If they move freely in their bores and you cannot see any holes in the diaphragms shining a flashlight behind them you can safely assume they are ok.
