Now I gotta remember that all the way to next year??? I have never Microwaved corn. In a pot of water, bring it to a boil and turn it off. What did you put on yours when you were a kid. Although we had a cow and plenty of fresh butter I used Bacon Grease on mine!! Another one of trhose things we can't have any more!!!:crying:

Just thinking.... This year we did a chilli cook off at the International in Cody. I bet a Corn feed at next years Rally in Buffalo would work. The first time I ever had BBQ'd corn was at our place in East Amherst a... er.... a long time ago, and I still remember it.... It musta made a heck of an impression....

That would depend on the availability of good corn that time of year.

Oh my gosh.....do you know how many years I've sat on our front porch husking sweet corn, trying to get every little bit of silk off? I can't wait to try this next yr!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you Silver T for posting the video...you've just made my life a lot easier as it's hard not to beat a meal of sweet corn!!!:dancefool:

By the way....saw a film yesterday on cooking large batches of sweet corn. They husked it first, stuck it in a coleman large size cooler and poured hot water over it. Shut the lid, 20 min later the whole batch was done. Thought it was a great way to cook large batches of sweet corn!
