Oil fill...Weres it at??

Noticed my oils a little low. Wat type oil you reccomend and weres the oil fill at on the 86 venture royale 1300cc bike? I assume its the one on the right side just above the foot rest....Correct? anyone got a pic of it? Tnx, RR

I use castrol gtx 2050 my self and yes right side above foot peg bike holds 3.84 qts total

What are you calling a little low?

The oil level should be no more than halfway up the sight glass with the bike upright off the side stand and level.

If you fill it to the sight glass while on the side stand it will be WAY overfilled and make a mess.

 

I use Valvoline 10W40, 4 stroke motorcycle oil from auto zone.

On center stand and no more than 1/2 way up the sight glass. I use Castrol 20/50. Right off the shelf at Wally World. Do not use anything with Fricton Moderfiers Will make your clutch slip.
