You've probably already thought of this, but make every effort to plan it so you ride the bike uphill and back it downhill.

Wow, Flyinfool, that really sounds gutsy. You've never dropped it?

Its not gutsy when it is born of necessity. Some times you just do what you have to do and no I have not dropped it.......YET!

The only time it has been down since I owned it was when it was parked and the side stand sunk into the ground even though it was on a 4" Dia Stainless steel plate, The whole plate was driven into the ground.

Success!

Modified my Utopia backrest mount with a piece of 3" x 3" X 1/4" angle iron and welded on a 3/4" nut. Now I can screw a 18" removable bar into the area behind the backrest of the riders seat and below the passenger seat. This will allow me to put my arse against the bar to back this heavy beastie up without getting close to the ABS saddle bag! I will store the bar in the saddle bag (looks like it will make a really nice "PERSUADER" also)... LOL

Will post pics tomorrow, as the paints drying as we speak.

WoooooooooHooooooo!

The good lord blessed me with a lot of things but not long legs (29" inseam)...LOL

I've been in a few unavoidable areas where I have had to back my bike up and it is impossible for me to do so while on the bike. Yesterday I found myself with the kick stand down, placing my backside up against the passenger grab rail and it worked pretty good... Got me to thinking, this is exactly how you pick up a bike that is layed over, using your legs!

Now I need to find something i can bolt on to the grab rail or the side of the bike that gives me a little more surface to push against..

Any suggestions?

I just put mine in nuetral and push the "reverse button" then push the starter switch to back up. OOOOPPPSSS that's on my WING. One of the several things I love about the WING. (Former RSV 07 blue/black owner.)
