TARHEEL RIDER Posted October 9, 2011 #1 Posted October 9, 2011 My CD player stopped working. I split the fairing and checked the connection there and while I was at it, I put the dielectric grease on all the connectors. Everything seems to be properly connected, but the cd selection does not come up on the control panel. Is there a separate fuse for the cd player? It worked great when we used it last in August.

Check the connection at the player itself. When you unplug the player, the cd option won''t show up on the master control. I don't know if there is a separate fuse for this or not. Maybe someone else will chime in soon. Good luck.
TARHEEL RIDER Posted October 9, 2011 Author #3 Posted October 9, 2011 I checked the connection at the player, even put the dielectric grease on it.
mbrood Posted October 9, 2011 #4 Posted October 9, 2011 I think his qustion was to see if the CD function showed up on the master... if it does, the CD is getting power and "at least" responding to the controller... if not, it's a power issue... if it does, it's a bit stickier...
M61A1MECH Posted October 9, 2011 #5 Posted October 9, 2011 I had the same thing happen back in July, I unplged both ends of teh CD cable and checked for continuity thru the cable. Found that the cable had a break in it, changed the cable and all is good. The cable can be found on ebay, see this link. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=cca329&_sacat=See-All-Categories
