The wife an I got tired of coming back to our bike after shopping to a hot seat we haven't had a chance to try it yet but it should work. Now if you're looking for a fancy way out...........a lamb skin seat cover is sweet! Cooler in the sun and warmer in the winter. No more smelling bacon burning when I plant the old rump on the seat.

Just go to Fleabay and do a search on sheepskin and you will find seve3ral dealers withb some really nice colors and quality... Of course your silver bullet half cover is nice!

Gearhead Posted September 28, 2011 #9 Posted September 28, 2011 IMHO, the Ikea skins aren't dense enough for full benefit, but they're OK. The better ones have fur that's more dense, thick and curly. They are SOOO nice for temp and for comfort. I have a black one, and somehow it's still not hot to sit on, even in full sun. Jeremy

brainfart Posted September 28, 2011 #12 Posted September 28, 2011 here in the Valley of the Sun - I've used a couple methods... 1) the beach towel & bungie cord for long days in the sun 2) beaded seat cushion.. works GREAT -- allows air flow and is quite comfortable at Www.beadrider.com
