spear Posted September 26, 2011 #1 Posted September 26, 2011 Hey guys. Many of you will have been terrorised lately by Annie and Al visiting you from down-under. I'm very pleased that she has returned, as I've bought her Wedgetail Outrider from her to fit to my 2004 RSV. Mind you it has to be shipped from one side of the country to the other, but nevertheless it will be worth it. I'm sure the Wedgetail is known by another name in the States, so here's a link to the local site if you don't know what I'm talking about. I'll let you know how I go with it and post photos when done. Cheers, Spear. http://www.wedgetailoutriders.com.au/
CaptainJoe Posted September 26, 2011 #2 Posted September 26, 2011 Wow! that sounds like a great alternative to triking a bike..."YOU don't have to give up the Lean"! SWEET! Wonder how much?? looks like about $10 k... and allows you to convert back to 2 wheels in minutes... I think they may be on to something here...
spear Posted September 26, 2011 Author #3 Posted September 26, 2011 Hey Cap'n Joe. $10k new is about on the mark here in Oz PLUS fitting. Mine's not new and I'm fitting it.
CrazyHorse Posted September 26, 2011 #4 Posted September 26, 2011 That is pretty cool never seen one before.
Wizard765 Posted September 26, 2011 #5 Posted September 26, 2011 I believe over here that would be a Voyager Kit... Yes good idea
Sideoftheroad Posted September 27, 2011 #6 Posted September 27, 2011 This is really close to the Voyager kit. http://www.mtcvoyager.com/voyager-standard/hardware.html
Aussie Annie Posted September 27, 2011 #7 Posted September 27, 2011 Terrorised??????? And this from the man with the "pink" avatar Wizard is right....Voyager kit to you folks. Can't wait to see it finished
spear Posted September 27, 2011 Author #8 Posted September 27, 2011 Thanks Wizard and Annie. I couldn't remember that it was the Voyager top-side. New, lets get poetic here - - My brothers and sister with whom I do an annual ride, have christened my RSV The Mothership. I seem to remember the dialogue from the opening scenes of Star Trek that go something like this: "These are the voyagers of the Starship Enterprise..." Voyager - Starship - Mothership. Am I making a connection here? Ah - fergit it!
spear Posted September 27, 2011 Author #9 Posted September 27, 2011 Hey Annie, Just as an aside - that 245 forum seems pretty life-less. In fact I'd call it dead! Spear
spear Posted October 6, 2011 Author #10 Posted October 6, 2011 An update for those who are remotely interested (and how remote is Down Under??) The Wedgie left Perth WA (that's Western Australia - Oz) 24 hours ago and is on its way east. Being transported from one side of Oz to the other and being delivered to my workshop in about 7-10 days. Can't wait.
spear Posted October 13, 2011 Author #11 Posted October 13, 2011 THE EAGLE HAS LANDED! Fitting day tomorrow. Woo hoooooo!
spear Posted October 17, 2011 Author #12 Posted October 17, 2011 Thought I better show you what all the fuss is about. Certainly a v-e-r-y different riding experience.
