Wayne O Posted September 22, 2011 Share #2 Posted September 22, 2011 Mine had the same problem when 1 year old. Split the front fairing and find the cable with blue tape markings, clean with contact cleaner and put dieltric grease in connector and then put some tie straps to help secure the ends. Problem solved.
BuddyRich Posted September 22, 2011 Share #3 Posted September 22, 2011 Several of us have had that problem. Dirty contacts on the Radio Control Head lead. Do as mentioned but I did all of them just to be sure.
Bushwacker Posted September 22, 2011 Share #4 Posted September 22, 2011 Had same problem on 09 Venture this June while on trip since bike was under warrenty took it to dealer and they contacted Yamaha and they replace control box. Yamaha sent control box in a week and dealer put it on same day they got it. If it is under warrenty I would do it that way, if not follow members advise on what to do.
