drbobdc Posted September 22, 2011 #1 Posted September 22, 2011 Hello-I have a slow speed wobble in my 01 Royal Star Venure when backing off throttle with one hand on handle bars----not noticeable on acceleration. Not really apparent at higher speeds. First noticed when I leaned over to shut off choke and backed off throttle. Have set air pressure in shocks correctly. Not sure. Bob
buddy Posted September 22, 2011 #2 Posted September 22, 2011 (edited) Sounds like your steering head bearings are loose tighten up the steering head bearings will fix this problem http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=511 Edited September 22, 2011 by buddy
Guest Posted September 22, 2011 #3 Posted September 22, 2011 Steering bearings are one item to check. Air pressure in your tires is another. What brand tire and what pressure are you currently running? Steering bearings are easy to check. You must first raise the bike off the ground. With the forks pointed straight, gently push the bar to one side then the other. If it hits the stops and bounces back quickly or if it feels like there is no resistance then you need to have the bearings adjusted. Whoops...didnt see the link that Buddy provided.
