Removing the 2 Fairing Air Vents ???

Is there a secrete in how to remove the left and right lower air vents on an MKII?

they are snap in.

are you talking about the ones by your knees? Or the intakes at the front?

 

The ones by the knees I just squeeze them a little and they come off. The front ones have a screw that you can get to from the front then they slide to the side and out.

The front ones. Remove screw and slide to the side and out. I know about the screw, but did not know about the move to the side and out.

It's king of slide towards the side with the screw and turn out at the same time. There are clips on the opposite side of the screw so you are trying to get it to move enough to get those out.

Anyone have some chrome ones, they would trade for some very nice exhaust tips with springs and rubber!
