eusa1 Posted September 18, 2011 #1 Posted September 18, 2011 the roads in illinois can be hard on things, especialy when the pavement buckles and your doing 60mph when you run into it.
bryan52577 Posted September 18, 2011 #2 Posted September 18, 2011 What, Only 60? Was there a speed cop behind you? Bryan
Rick Haywood Posted September 18, 2011 #4 Posted September 18, 2011 Now that explains it..............
oldgoat Posted September 18, 2011 #5 Posted September 18, 2011 ouch and it was such a good looking bike. but looks like it will still be?
Monty Posted September 18, 2011 #6 Posted September 18, 2011 I cut my teeth in Illinois. That's where I took my driver's ed(on snow & ice), and started my motorcycle riding, when I was just a young pup. I spent 18 years of my life there. I remember the roads were straight & boring. I grew up in Tazewell, Mclean and Logan counties. Don't care if I ever see those counties, ever again. I still don't like to even ride thru that state. There are a few areas that are pretty, but it's mostly straight roads and grain elevators. You can have it. Oh, and they need to get that CCW passed. It's one of the few states that you still can't carry a weapon. They need to come into the 21st century.
sarges46 Posted September 18, 2011 #7 Posted September 18, 2011 Well at least it doesn't sound like anyone was hurt in that scrape! Glad for that.
RedRider Posted September 18, 2011 #8 Posted September 18, 2011 Oh, and they need to get that CCW passed. It's one of the few states that you still can't carry a weapon. They need to come into the 21st century. Now that Wisconsin has gotten their proverbial cranium out of their colon and passed CCW, Illinois is the only remaining safehaven for criminals in the US. Permits begin being issued in WI Nov 1st (IIRC). RR
