Yammer Dan Posted September 14, 2011 Share #10 Posted September 14, 2011 Probably the guy in the suit talking on the phone. RandyA That was him!! He was probally telling them "If you leave him alone he won't be able to sue me!!! Notice he didn't try to help.
Lone Eagle Posted September 14, 2011 Share #11 Posted September 14, 2011 I'm with Yammer on this one - for me I am glad everything worked - and the biker was saved - and I guess happy there was the video - but just me personally I think the guy should have put down that video phone - and helped the others. Just something about that rubbed me the wrong way - oh well - maybe the nature of our culture these day - just glad everyone is safe.
SC89Venture Posted September 14, 2011 Share #12 Posted September 14, 2011 Come on, maybe he was unable to help. He didn't run away, jeesh sounds like a bunch of old farts complaining. Give him the benefit of the doubt.

SC89Venture Posted September 15, 2011 Share #14 Posted September 15, 2011 Because you were not there. Your making a judgment on a 10 second video clip.
Yammer Dan Posted September 15, 2011 Share #15 Posted September 15, 2011 If the craphead in the suit was the driver I don't need to see anymore.
Condor Posted September 15, 2011 Share #16 Posted September 15, 2011 Ditto on the driver... but he was driving a Mercedes... The other part of this I don't understand is how in the 'H' did the rider end up so far under the Mercedes??? And no helmet, no jacket, no boots... no nothing.... XV1100SE Posted September 15, 2011 Author Share #17 Posted September 15, 2011 Would like to have seen the video from a minute earlier when the accident happened. Always good to know how an accident happened to try to avoid the same situation myself.
MiCarl Posted September 15, 2011 Share #18 Posted September 15, 2011 ... but just me personally I think the guy should have put down that video phone - and helped the others. Just something about that rubbed me the wrong way - oh well - maybe the nature of our culture these day - just glad everyone is safe. According to a news report I heard there were college students making some sort of video in the building near where the crash occurred and they pointed the camera out the window. From the angle I don't believe they were on the ground floor.
SC89Venture Posted September 16, 2011 Share #19 Posted September 16, 2011 If the craphead in the suit was the driver I don't need to see anymore. That's my point IF. We don't know so, I like to think the best.

TEW47 Posted September 16, 2011 Share #23 Posted September 16, 2011 The guy was like the former Gov. of Alabama that had a wreck and said he had to "lay it down to avoid a bad wreck", old wives tale, you speed up when you lay it down. tew47
Mike G in SC Posted September 16, 2011 Share #24 Posted September 16, 2011 This was on a Internet news source (CNN associate): The man Curtis believes to be the driver appears in the video dressed in a dark suit. He stood a little off to the side from the group and did not help lift the car, the video shows. After Wright is pulled from underneath the vehicle, the man in the suit walks over to look at the motorcyclist. "He was in a shock," Curtis said about the driver, adding that any possible charges related to the traffic accident are pending. complete article: http://www.news8000.com/money/Bystanders-rescue-motorcycle-driver-trapped-under-burning-car/-/336/1322276/-/sh1hnx/-/index.html
BOO Posted September 16, 2011 Share #25 Posted September 16, 2011 The guy was like the former Gov. of Alabama that had a wreck and said he had to "lay it down to avoid a bad wreck", old wives tale, you speed up when you lay it down. tew47 Another wives tale, you do not "speed up" when you lay a bike down, you slow down slower.
