utadventure Posted December 19, 2007 Author #5 Posted December 19, 2007 Thanks guys for your kind responses. I'm starting to feel better already, well, as soon as I get these daggers out of my back. Oh, wo is me!!:rotf:
Wizard765 Posted December 19, 2007 #6 Posted December 19, 2007 In our neck of the wooks we have more snow on the ground right now than we have had in many years before Christmas. Yes cabin fever is setting in already. I intended to move my scoot to Marcarls for some loving care over the winter and have been waiting for a reasonable day to do that. Didn't expect the blizzard. It appears we may be socked in for a few months to say the least. Wayne
spear Posted December 19, 2007 #7 Posted December 19, 2007 Suffer baby! It's officially been summer here for 20 days - AND I'M LOVING IT!:cool10: "Get your motor running, head out on the highway . . ."
Marcarl Posted December 19, 2007 #8 Posted December 19, 2007 Sunday, hi of 8 and rain to clean off the roads, maybe,,,,,,,,,,maybe,,,,,,, nah it's out of gas, now what to do. Take the clothes off and get to work on second gear I guess, had some problem with second this summer, seemed to jump into that gear when at a stop light, can't understand it, think I'll just remove it so it won't happen again.
pegscraper Posted December 19, 2007 #9 Posted December 19, 2007 It's called male PMS - parked motorcycle syndrome. Yes, I have it. Thanks for reminding me that it isn't even winter yet. We've been buried in ice storms and snow storms here already, and I forgot that it isn't officially winter yet. Thanks a lot pal ol' buddy. Summertime in Australia. Christmas in the middle of summer. Just doesn't seem right. So how does Santa get around in his sleigh without any snow?
Older... Posted December 19, 2007 #10 Posted December 19, 2007 They are speculating this weekend to be dry and warm, somewhere in the low 80's. We did have a cold spell the last couple days into the 60's for highs. Now we're resuming our regular scheduled weather, so they predict.
Mariner Fan Posted December 19, 2007 #11 Posted December 19, 2007 I'm hoping for a little window of opportunity to at least take the bike out around town.
hipshot Posted December 20, 2007 #12 Posted December 20, 2007 i had my winter, last Monday morning. low 30 degrees with 30 mile winds. tuesday , low 59, high 70! whew! i'm glad that's over with! just jt
spear Posted December 20, 2007 #13 Posted December 20, 2007 Summertime in Australia. Christmas in the middle of summer. Just doesn't seem right. So how does Santa get around in his sleigh without any snow? What's a Santa? What's a sleigh? What's snow? :confused24: Gotta love the heat!

86er Posted December 20, 2007 #15 Posted December 20, 2007 It's been pretty chilly here; this morning I was riding, it was 29 degrees and only got up to 53 this afternoon! Don't feel bad David, I did find a picture of E-Fishin-C's driveway!
Eugene Posted December 20, 2007 #16 Posted December 20, 2007 Ok - I too will help you out - I went for a 3 hour ride today - started the day at 70 and went up to 82. So, tomorrow, I will think of you again, and the next day, and the next day..... Sorry - couldn't resist - its nice down here in Texas - Rio Grande VAlley:banana:
Joopster55 Posted December 20, 2007 #17 Posted December 20, 2007 This weekend it is suppossed to go up to plus 8 degrees. Think I might go for a cruise. Carl and Wizard, wanna come along?
wolfman1 Posted December 20, 2007 #18 Posted December 20, 2007 Hey Dave, at least there's one of us that feels your pain! I sure feel for you! I'm afraid I've got the withdrawal shakes too. Been out to the garage several times in the last few day, talking to my scoot and making sure it's ok, ... out there, ... all alone..... ... and winter's only just starting. I've already begun to look at all the internet "where to ride" sites I've been saving and thinking out where I'll be riding to this next year. Soooo many places to ride and only so much time. Kim and I hope to do several meet and greets and eats as well as the international thing in Canada this year. I used to love winter and snow, at least until I started riding again after getting the kids raised! NOT NO MORE!!! It was hot today (34') so I rode about 5 or 6 miles and then changed the oil. If I hadn't had to work, I'd have riddin a lot more. Damn, I hate winter. Oh well.... (BG) By the way.... It's sure refreshing to read the posts from all the members that truly want to help the likes of us out by riding "for" us. Ride on you guys and gals and remember those of us that can't get out for long periods of time. ... lol ... and I know there's not a smart ass in the whole group. ... lol .... Cheers, Steve
Rattlesnake Posted December 20, 2007 #19 Posted December 20, 2007 well I am ready to park it for a day got to have a new back tire put on tomorrow and have put about 540 miles on in the last 3 days. I am with hip glad our 1 day of winter is over.
cmiles3 Posted December 20, 2007 #20 Posted December 20, 2007 With the inch of ice, inch of rain, and inch of snow I had last week, it's riding weather again. I missed a few days of riding this past week; the streets were littered with trees, then snow. Then, I was moving fallen limbs from around the house. Yesterday & today I got the 1st Gen out, road to Mom's house, to move fallen limbs from her back yard. Then I got Amy's Genuine Buddy out to gas it up, add SeaFoam, and make it ready to store. We missed the big toy run; it was cancelled due to the weather. Need another excuse to get her to ride.
spear Posted December 25, 2007 #21 Posted December 25, 2007 Well folks, Christmas day is just about done for me. Beautiful weather - we got up to 29 degC (about 83degF) so I took the RSV out for a quick 20kms squirt at 6pm just to warm up the oil. AAAaaahh, that's better!
