Venturous Randy Posted September 6, 2011 #1 Posted September 6, 2011 Two days ago it was 96 degrees. Today it was about 72 and rained all day. I have some really tall Birch trees in my yard and I already have a lot of leaves on the ground. I hope this tropical depression gets through soon as it is giving me a lot of depression. RandyA
RandyR Posted September 6, 2011 #2 Posted September 6, 2011 The Texans are probably wishing the next hurricane would hit somewhere around Corpus and head inland.
friesman Posted September 6, 2011 #3 Posted September 6, 2011 So far we are still in summer mode here , the forecast is telling us we should be sunnu and about 90f all week long. I am hoping for a long fall with temps like this. Brian
KarlS Posted September 6, 2011 #4 Posted September 6, 2011 We had a high of 58F today and supposed to get down to 44F tonight. Gonna get up to the 70's by Friday.
BuddyRich Posted September 6, 2011 #5 Posted September 6, 2011 The Texans are probably wishing the next hurricane would hit somewhere around Corpus and head inland. We were doing that with the last one...
buddy Posted September 6, 2011 #6 Posted September 6, 2011 Something in the weather alright my ceiling in my garage is covered with flies for the past few days never seen so many flies in one place getting some stuff tomorrow to rid these dang flies went from 106-110F to 78F in a days time big change here plus the coyotes are getting really bad now since the weather has changed up last night until 2 am chasing them off the farm
myminpins Posted September 6, 2011 #7 Posted September 6, 2011 The leaves are already changing around here!! It's been down to almost 50 a few times at night but it's still holding in the 70s and up in the daytime so not cool here yet. I love a cool fall - cool nights, really warm days. Perfect!! It's 68 this morning and going to rain for a few days with wind - from the tropical storms heading past off the coast. Definitely been cooler than usual this summer but I'm not complaining - I love fall best of all.
reddevilmedic Posted September 6, 2011 #8 Posted September 6, 2011 hot and sticky here in florida, but this morning, rain and a cool breeze. nice! well, except for riding...
XV1100SE Posted September 6, 2011 #9 Posted September 6, 2011 Was 50 F on my ride in to work today. Supposed to be a high of 66 F this afternoon. Long range is 75 F as high for the week on Friday.
exrsa1 Posted September 6, 2011 #10 Posted September 6, 2011 Kansas City, 46 here this morning, with a high of 74. The rest of the week is going to be the same. Gorgeous! Guess I'll wear a jacket on the bike this morning. Ex
Galapagos Posted September 6, 2011 #11 Posted September 6, 2011 I am an avid steelheader. I wait for the hurricanes and tropical storms to push rain north into steelhead alley and flush the rivers. These cooler days and nights will have the steelhead stacking up at the river mouths as soon as the river temps get into the mid 50's. When the lake temp hits the mid 50's the silver bullets will wait for the rain to push up into the rivers to spawn. Then my better half becomes a fish widow. I love a good September rain.
Trader Posted September 6, 2011 #12 Posted September 6, 2011 Something in the weather alright my ceiling in my garage is covered with flies for the past few days never seen so many flies in one place getting some stuff tomorrow to rid these dang flies plus the coyotes are getting really bad now Just wondering....have you taken out the garbage lately?

I am hoping for a long fall with temps like this. Brian Same here ... although we're not as high as 90 but over 80 is great! In fact, ever since returning from Cody, we've had really nice weather ... not hot ... just nice.
Lil Venturous Posted September 6, 2011 #14 Posted September 6, 2011 Still a little warm for me today. Especially with these antibiotics Dr has me on. Bought a big floppy hat this weekend. My helpers were calling me beaner all day. It sure is fun when you work with carpenters that you make fun of.
Lil Venturous Posted September 7, 2011 #15 Posted September 7, 2011 Ok, today did not feel like summer at all here. Actually felt more like spring. Cold and wet all day on that ladder. Even blew my big hat off today.
myminpins Posted September 7, 2011 #16 Posted September 7, 2011 For the first time in a loooong time, I came home from walking the dogs and the house was WARMER than outside. Sure was a short summer around here since it rained the entire month of June, was freezing in May so we only had July and August and poof! It's gone Didn't even hit 20 today (68F) Down to 50 or so again tonight with highs all week under 68. Ugh. Too soon.... too soon....
SilvrT Posted September 7, 2011 #17 Posted September 7, 2011 All this week nuthin but sunshine and temps in the mid to upper 20's right into the beginning of next week. LUV IT!
