Got the turnsignal / flasher fixed and all back together. And everything works.

Engine is warming up right now.

Thank you all for the help.

But I need some more help.

This one bolt, I do not know where it came from. It fits a 12 mm socket.

I took the headlight out to get to some of the electricial.

I took the steering cover off.

I took the Air Compressure unit out, with the fairing cover so I could remove the flasher switch.

I took the 2 side covers off.

I took the seat out, but it is now back on with the 2 seat bolts.

Any ideas?

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!

I know it funny but the bolt looks pretty important. It be different if it was a washer or something insignifcant.

I wouldn't feel like wandering very far from home.

Did you have to loosen the radiator overfill bottle to get the hazard switch out? Might be one of the bottle mount tab bolts.

Brian,

We, collectively, are pretty good at this 1st gen stuff.

There are about 25 +/- bolts that look just like that on the bike.

You're on your own on this one.

:fingers crossed:

Whatever it holds on will not fall off as long as it is parked in the garage, take it for a ride a really long ride because as the rules go drive it until it breaks then fix what broke. Or there is always rule #2 fix it until it's broke. :080402gudl_prv:

If you're 1st Gen is anything like the one I had, that is the bolt that makes a new crack in the plastic when you put it back in. Every time I stuck the last bolt from a project in, I found a new crack in the tupperware somewhere.:buttkick:

In my bag of VR misc nuts and bolts I found a matching bolt. What comes to mind is that I have 2 bolts for the seat but those bolts looks like something that I may have bought from a hardware store.

Oh well, so I installed the two newly founded bolts into the seat and will call it good.
