chabicheka Posted December 17, 2007 #2 Posted December 17, 2007 i dont know if they all work the same way....but mine, i have to light it with a lighter ( flame) and as i light it, i have to keep the 'on' 'off' knob pressed down for about a minute, then let go and turn it 'on' all the way. its turned half way when lighting, keeping the knob pressed down. good luck.
Tnventurer Posted December 17, 2007 Author #3 Posted December 17, 2007 Got er done ,The breaker was off!
BOO Posted December 17, 2007 #4 Posted December 17, 2007 Sounds like you have air in the line. You can break a fitting loose to let the air out and when you smell the gas coming out tighten the fitting, but if you don't know what you are doing this could be dangerious. If you do this, let the gas clear out of the room before trying to start the furnace again. Be CAREFUL! Jerry
