Electrical dead. Batt is fine. Power at the main 30 amp fuses but nothing at the dash. Going to the shop tomorrow. Very disapointing, first time I've had to trailer a bike home in six years and 90K plus miles.

Sorry for your troubles there guy...

Please do let us know what the problem is (was), so we can add that to the "things to check for" when a 2nd gen dies out on us...

Sounds like you lost the ign switch. Good luck.

That was my first thought to Buddy.......:whistling:

Could also be a loose connection under the gas tank.. going to the ignition switch...OR ....the kick stand switch was down / KS-switch went bad..

It has my interest since I too have an 05 RSV....Sure want to find out what it was in case it happens to me..

Probably ignition switch. I have a '99 and at only 26k miles, I am already having trouble with the ignition switch. It is kind of a pain in the butt to get off.

If it was a 1st Gen, you'd need someone following you with a trailer to pick up the pieces of plastic falling off. No wonder they are so quick! They don't weigh nuttin after the plastic's all fallen off! BTW has 2nd gear let you down yet??? All kiddin aside, my 83 VR was ONE HELL of a MACHINE!! But I still wouldn't replace my 2nd Gen for anything else!
