Bobby Posted August 29, 2011 #1 Posted August 29, 2011 I've been told that the best improvement that I could do for my '07 RSTD is to swap out my ignition. Wachya think? Any truth to this suggestion? If so, what would you recommend?
BuddyRich Posted August 29, 2011 #3 Posted August 29, 2011 Dyna3000, but that's about it other than going to vmax cams and such.
Yammer Dan Posted August 29, 2011 #4 Posted August 29, 2011 Putting a first Gen under it! Now was that nice?? True but...:rotfl:
Bobby Posted August 29, 2011 Author #5 Posted August 29, 2011 Thx. much. ("put a first Gen under it?)....made me laugh:rotf:
flb_78 Posted August 29, 2011 #6 Posted August 29, 2011 What kind of performance are you looking for? Better acceleration? More top end? Wheelies? The Dyna3000 will allow you to raise the rev limiter and advance the ignition curve some.
dingy Posted August 29, 2011 #7 Posted August 29, 2011 Dyna3000, but that's about it other than going to vmax cams and such. Does the Dyna 3000 work with the carb heater circuit & the Engine Warning Indicator Light on the RSV? Gary
bilko1 Posted August 29, 2011 #8 Posted August 29, 2011 Thx. much. ("put a first Gen under it?)....made me laugh:rotf: But VERY true!!!

Bobby Posted August 30, 2011 Author #11 Posted August 30, 2011 'eh, no problum mun! I don't see anything negative regarding a Dyna3000 & I believe it would give me better throttle response. better excelleration. So with that said, I'll keep on blowing by the first gens with a smile:rotf:.....lol. Let the games begin:whistling:

Bobby Posted August 30, 2011 Author #14 Posted August 30, 2011 We're always stopping @ a DQ or Timmies. Never pass up an ice cream stop. It's always on the adgenda to end a ride after a Meet & Greet. It's even better finding new friends to share that ice cream. Some day we'll meet up from here:bighug: which is always something to look forward to.
bilko1 Posted August 30, 2011 #16 Posted August 30, 2011 NOX system..... :080402gudl_prv:Only way to pass a first gen.
dingy Posted August 30, 2011 #17 Posted August 30, 2011 NOX system..... Coming soon to a Venture near you !! Gary
Gearhead Posted August 30, 2011 #18 Posted August 30, 2011 I seriously doubt you'll get that much performance gain from an ignition upgrade. JMHO. Jeremy
Sylvester Posted August 30, 2011 #19 Posted August 30, 2011 I seriously doubt you'll get that much performance gain from an ignition upgrade. JMHO. Jeremy Very wrong. Much more advance on acceleration and higher RPMs. One who knows!
