steamer Posted August 28, 2011 #4 Posted August 28, 2011 Robin says she would be up to a hot air ballon ride. She also said something about me providing the hot air?
BIG TOM Posted August 28, 2011 Author #5 Posted August 28, 2011 (edited) Robin says she would be up to a hot air ballon ride. She also said something about me providing the hot air? I love "Robin" except when she gives me the bird....which is all the time.... Edited August 28, 2011 by BIG TOM

dingy Posted August 28, 2011 #7 Posted August 28, 2011 Whats the weight limit? Sort of wanted to do this, but I am near 270, bone dry. Gary
Carbon_One Posted August 28, 2011 #8 Posted August 28, 2011 Why would any sane person jump out of a prefectly good airplane is beyound me. Having said that I can see Tom doing it thou. I'll watch from the ground thank you. Larry

BIG TOM Posted August 28, 2011 Author #12 Posted August 28, 2011 Splat!! Oh ye of little faith...! You do ride a motorcycle...don't you ?
Snaggletooth Posted August 28, 2011 #13 Posted August 28, 2011 Done the hot air balloon thing. A parachute jump would make more sense to me. You know they don't issue parachutes on a balloon ride? Seems like a good idea to me. I'm with Gary though..... 285 and if the label don't say it's rated to handle a jeep I think I'll pass. I don't think they would want claw marks on the side of the plane where I was hanging on. Mike
Snaggletooth Posted August 28, 2011 #14 Posted August 28, 2011 Oh ye of little faith...! You do ride a motorcycle...don't you ? I do.....but do you wear a parachute while riding your motorcylce? I didn't think so. Mike
Ryana7769 Posted August 28, 2011 #15 Posted August 28, 2011 You really wanna leave dangerously...take a ride on a Chinook helicopter WITHOUT a parachute. This is of course after the briefing that when asked about all the coffee cans with oil in them sitting around inside the helicopter. The pilot tells you that is to catch all the hydrolic fluid leaking from the system. Be worried if it stops coming out!! :rotf::rotf:

FuzzyRSTD Posted August 28, 2011 #19 Posted August 28, 2011 I do.....but do you wear a parachute while riding your motorcylce? I didn't think so. Mike Now that is a good idea Snaggletooth. :rotf:We could give the free rides down the road at a pre-determined speed from the jumper. The jumper could have on the parachute and then stand and pull the cord whenever they wish. SERIOUSLY; A good idea for some though Tom. My wife would do it in a New York minute. She wants to power glide with someone to, tandem. Fuzzy
flb_78 Posted August 28, 2011 #20 Posted August 28, 2011 Whats the weight limit? Sort of wanted to do this, but I am near 270, bone dry. Gary http://www.skydiveorange.com/Tandem/FAQ.aspx This company's normal limit is 220lbs, but will go to 285 for a nominal fee. hmm...285? I'd only have to lose 140lbs in the next year.
Trader Posted August 28, 2011 #21 Posted August 28, 2011 You want us to do WHAT?!?!?!? Only should jump out of a plane! I think you are Either that or just We could all end up Besides...doesn't it cost a Mind you ....it could be
etcswjoe Posted August 28, 2011 #22 Posted August 28, 2011 Tandem is a little tame. Do they do static line and if so what's the cost?

The result of dropping from a set of scaffolds and W/O a parachute no less.
