Trader Posted August 26, 2011 #1 Posted August 26, 2011 My wife used to own a nail salon and has done nails for close to 30 years. So I let her do all the plastex repairs! That's not the ususal position for doing nails though! You can see the "FINGER FASHION" sign that was in her salon behind her.
Marcarl Posted August 27, 2011 #2 Posted August 27, 2011 Man you aught to let her get cleaned up a bit before you start taking them pictures,,, look at her jeans,,, look like you got her working her fingers to the bones,,,,,,,, now a little question,,,,, does she polish as well? Good to see a man and wife team,,,, not everybody has that privilege,,,keep up the good relationship.
Trader Posted August 27, 2011 Author #3 Posted August 27, 2011 What you don't see is 10 ft behind her is an open hole with a dirt floor where our living room used to be! The floor joists and sill plates were all rotten...and becasue it has a VERY small crawl space we had to get at it from above. Starting on replacing the main beam tomorrow..then hopefully we'll be doing secondary beams and the floor joists within a day or two. She's working on the plastic for me while I'm doing work she can't help me with. Usually we ARE a team doing everything together!

Jayceesfolly Posted August 27, 2011 #5 Posted August 27, 2011 I think it should be an inground pool. All you have to do is dig a little deeper(don't forget the deep end). It might be a "first" on this Forum. The first member to have an inground pool in their living room.
myminpins Posted August 27, 2011 #6 Posted August 27, 2011 What a mess!! Good luck getting that done soon and having a nice living room to relax in again! I do a ton of indoor renovations, too, and I'm always gung ho when we start but VERY glad once we're finished that it's done!! I help Mike do most things on the bike, too. It's great to have a partner in that way, isn't it?
Lil Venturous Posted August 27, 2011 #7 Posted August 27, 2011 You should lay you down a good plastic vapor barrier on the ground before you put it back together.
