BIG TOM Posted August 30, 2011 #26 Posted August 30, 2011 International rally ?..........Plenty of active members in WNY and Ontario...Hummmmmm ...The Canadians have the know how, I mean they have done this before and Central NY would be a great place to ride..I mean the finger lakes and all...Hmmmmm.......just thinking.. A combined effort...hmmmm:whistling:
RandyR Posted August 30, 2011 #27 Posted August 30, 2011 How about Oberlin, Ohio. The infrastructure is in place !! Gary ya. could ride the roller coasters at Cedar Point all week....
Sleeperhawk Posted August 30, 2011 #28 Posted August 30, 2011 We will be looking at the options. To be honest, I'm looking more towards the east for next year. Possibly somewhere in West Virginia or even the Northeast like the Vermont area if somebody would step up in that area. There is some fantastic riding in the White Mountains. I vote for Vermont (if it is not a lake next year) and the Maine area.

Need to have camping and hotel close together,,, or cabins or a big house with lots of yard and a swimming hole, and a good cook to make breakie. HUMMMM you got me thinking!!!! Sounds like it could be a fun time.
GAWildKat Posted August 30, 2011 #30 Posted August 30, 2011 Well I can cook, and cook well, it's just finding a way up there if my husband can't/doesn't go with me because of work/school. I can't drive that distance even in the car by myself.

Black Owl Posted August 31, 2011 Author #36 Posted August 31, 2011 WINTERpeg ??? yuukkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk !!! :stickpoke: hold it at Kenora, ON ... a much nicer area. The Wolfshead Club puts on a rally nice three day ride through the Rainy Lake/Kenora area each year.. And there is a Mom & Pop that puts up the best order of chips and gravy.
steamer Posted August 31, 2011 #37 Posted August 31, 2011 http://staydarienlake.com/ http://www.nysparks.state.ny.us/parks/144/details.aspx Could be fun.... RandyR, your the only smart one here. Your posting links about attractions and parks in NY, Knowing darn well that if it is in NY, all you have to do is show up and leave all the planning to those in CNY. With that being said, I think Georgia would be a great place to hole it. ..... just funnin, I think any where in the east would be great.

We could hold the international at either Vogel or Asheville... It's probably cooler in upstate NY though... Personally, I liked the idea of the nearby amusement park at Darien Lake... Of course there is Dolly World in Tennessee not far from Gatlinburg, TN or Maggie Valley, NC.

GAWildKat Posted August 31, 2011 #40 Posted August 31, 2011 I think Georgia would be too hot and humid for most of y'all But I will help plan if it comes this way.
Carbon_One Posted August 31, 2011 #41 Posted August 31, 2011 I'd love to see the N.E. area as having never been there. Finger lakes sounds great too. Larry
Jayceesfolly Posted August 31, 2011 #42 Posted August 31, 2011 Big Tom: Wine tour packages are very popular in the Finger lakes and how about dinner cruises on Keuka Lake? I would be willing to help. Jim
