N3FOL Posted August 23, 2011 #9 Posted August 23, 2011 I work in Maryland and I felt our building shake...luckily no structural damage here.
myminpins Posted August 23, 2011 #10 Posted August 23, 2011 Very, very strange. I studied geography and tectonic plates and the eastern USA is in the center of a plate, where it's very unusual to have earthquakes. They're usually on the edges of the tectonic plates, such as in California. Glad no major damage seems to have occurred anywhere. Hope it didn't knock anyone's bike over and break anything!!!
Flyinfool Posted August 23, 2011 #11 Posted August 23, 2011 That wasn't an earthquake. A caster on my chair broke and I fell over............

ashley9187 Posted August 24, 2011 #25 Posted August 24, 2011 As a native of California don't tell me about earthquakes. I lived in Pismo Beach when the Selmar quake hit, shuck me out of bed and I was 300 miles away. The east and northeast got what I like to call a minor attention getter. Rick A. aka Sidecar:Venture:
