Got back from a week's vacation with everything working fine on the bike. Got ready to go on a 3-day run and the audio control box would not work. So, no radio, no audio, or CB. Also, the trip meter and the clock resets itself every time you start the bike. I have checked fuses and found no problems there.

Any ideas as to what is going on? Looking for answers.

Start checking all the connections, you have a loose, broke, or corroded connection somewhere.

Any ideas as which one to start with ?

remove your battery connections for a few minutes and clean them, this may reset the audio controler and cure both of your concerns. mike

Trip meter and clock resetting are signs of a bad battery, voltage drops so low while cranking that the bike loses memory.

Thanks, I'll check in those areas

Okay got the battery checked, and it is okay. Tomorrow I'll start checking main fuses that then pull the front fairing and start checking connectors there.:fingers-crossed-emo

Checked the backup fuse this morning and found that it was burnt out. Replaced it and everything works great again. Before checking here, I had spoken with the dealer and he had told me a long sad story about how long it would be to find the problem and he would have to work it into his schedule.:rotf::stickinouttounge:

So all I can say is thank you for having a place that information can be shared, so I don't have to learn it all first hand.:cool10:
