Dragonslayer Posted August 16, 2011 #9 Posted August 16, 2011 This morning on the way out the door for work, I woke me son up who will be going to Vogel with me and told him very clearly " Please dig the CAMPING equipment out the basement to get it ready for this weekend". When I got home he had dug out all of the HUNTING equipment and arranged it neatly in the carport. He had the rifles in the gun case,ammo, all the hunting gear ready to go. I know that I said CAMPING but in his half awake state he heard HUNTING. As I was going to tell him about his mistake, I remembered Vogel III and my encounter with Yogi and BOOBOO and their attack on my poor defenseless cooler. I all could say was, "Good job son now get out the Camping equipment too. We will probably need it too." So we have everything ready to go for Vogel IV and we are coming loaded for BEAR.

You have no time to goof up now...and you still have lots to do yet for this event.. Did you make your reservations.......??? Did you reserve the Pavilion for our lunch? Place the call in for our catered lunch, did you pack your long card table in van, a few chairs, the raffle tickets, the door prizes, T-shirts, Your cold drinks and munchies, copies of daily events..Did you make reservations at the diner for dinner? Did you post another Thread about 2 DAY's TILL VOGEL Do you have your drivers license, insurance card and registration....for van and Bike? (flashlight..?) DID YOU PACK YOUR CLOTHES ... Dang Lewis, I hope your gonna wear clothes this year.. Well, is my pep speech working ...?

DragonRider Posted August 17, 2011 Author #19 Posted August 17, 2011 Thanks Murph, this has been building for a while, it looked like turnout was going to be low since I wasnt getting the number of advanced registrations that I normally get, but from the looks of all the messages on the forum, its gonna be a good one, maybe the best yet, but no matter how many show, its always a great time. I am already worn out from all the last minute prep, and still feel like I am leaving something behind, but there isnt one motorcycle related thing left in my house or shop except for my 1st Gen which is in peices parts awaiting its tranny transplant. Sooooooo if something is left behind its because it is hiding and doesnt want to leave home. And speaking of leaving home, we will be out of here in about 30 min heading for Vogel!!!..Then when I get home from Vogel, I have to start planning for the Mean Dog Memorial Ride to St. Jude. That is happening Oct. 1. St. Jude called to remind me and let me know they are sending my Cruisn' material out to me. So not much rest till after Oct. 1.:doh: I hope you all have a great and safe time! I will be at a car show selling snow cones and popcorn to little kids with cotton candy all over them! Dragonslayer Posted August 18, 2011 #20 Posted August 18, 2011 Ok, Got the Trailer loaded, cooler loaded, bike gassed up. I made a list and checked it twice and am pretty sure we got everything we are gonna need. The only thing is the HUNTING equipment would not fit in the trailer with all of the camping equipment. So, I guess we'll have to leave it behind. All you innocent bystanders are safe. If Yogi shows back up and I can't handle it with the traveling pistola. I guess we will have to wrestle.
