mmaleney Posted August 15, 2011 #1 Posted August 15, 2011 So there I was geting rid of the YICS on my 83 and then I started to think, could the lines be hooked back up together in the same way as the Jason mode or along with the jason mode to help the low end power in any way ?
mmaleney Posted August 15, 2011 Author #3 Posted August 15, 2011 just went and read all the old post on the mod got all the info i need
Venturous Randy Posted August 15, 2011 #4 Posted August 15, 2011 In the 15+ years and 125,000 miles I have put on my bike, I ran the Jason Mod for several years and in my opinion, removing the YICS and undoing the Jason Mod works best. RandyA
dingy Posted August 15, 2011 #5 Posted August 15, 2011 I have read that the Jason mod causes rough idle at best. I can see little benefit by tying the cylinders together through a 1/8" vacuum hose. The intent behind it seemed to be too help power in the same way the Vboost does on the VMax's. There is way too small a cross sectional area in a 1/8" hose to have any real effect in my opinion. Condor Posted August 15, 2011 #6 Posted August 15, 2011 I couldn't tell any difference in performance or gas milage between the Jason and not. But..... I liked the 'lope' produced by the Jason so kept it connected...
