BoomerCPO Posted August 15, 2011 #3 Posted August 15, 2011 I did this ride in 2009. Expect to ride with a huge number of bikes! The NYPD are just super with their escort and traffic control. Make sure you gas up before you jump in on the route. When you reach Ground Zero you will see thousands of people there cheering on the riders and offering food/beverages and sincere thanks. Patriot Guard is heavily involved with this ride....check your State's PGR Site for ride route and join points. Boomer...who sez expect yer eyes to leak at Ground Zero so wear sunglasses....
Gary N. Posted August 15, 2011 #4 Posted August 15, 2011 It's this weekend. http://www.americas911foundation.org/ They are expecting 2996 participants. One for every person killed on 9/11. We are heading out tomorrow to hook up with some other Canadians who are attending.

But im confused what we will do there. i will ride with everyone to ny but no need for me to stay there I can come back home and ride back in the morning. someone who has done this please explain the intinerary
