muaymendez1 Posted August 14, 2011 #1 Posted August 14, 2011 Ok first long ride with the wife. kids were away for the weekend. A new seat is needed as her butt couldnt take the punishment. Next year tax season for the russel day long, but what about peg placement. my wife complained that the back of her legs were sore from the saddle bag crash bars digging into the calf muscle. Is there a way to adjust the peg or any other suggestions.
flb_78 Posted August 14, 2011 #2 Posted August 14, 2011 Can you take a picture of the passenger peg setup for me? Im wondering if it's the same as the Roadstars. I was able to flip my mounts over to lower the pegs and move them forward.
wes0778 Posted August 14, 2011 #3 Posted August 14, 2011 my RSTC has passenger foot boards, but it is a '98. Wonder if they could be added to your '96?
muaymendez1 Posted August 14, 2011 Author #4 Posted August 14, 2011 It is raining out today. ill wait for teh rain to settle to take some pics. I think with her short legs, the pegs would be better up a bit.or maybe her back rest a little forward. With my wing she was very close to me and with the star I dont even notice shes back there. I will be taking the sissy bar off for winter riding and Ill se then if there is any forward adjustment on it.
b2dad Posted August 14, 2011 #5 Posted August 14, 2011 but check out Diamond R. They have a set of foot "rests" or pegs...that I added to mine. They are higher and can be moved out of the way when not being used. Wife LOVES them and gives her an added "change of position" for longer rides. Gotta keep the wife happy ya know!!! Don (who's wife is typing this, haha)
jemorrisonjr Posted August 14, 2011 #6 Posted August 14, 2011 my wife was like that until I but venture seats on.... now she loves ridine
myminpins Posted August 15, 2011 #7 Posted August 15, 2011 my wife complained that the back of her legs were sore from the saddle bag crash bars digging into the calf muscle. I noticed that, too, and I'm 5'8" so I'm not short. We're new to the Venture. I see the Diamond alternative (ouch at the price) but good to know it's not just me who is bugged by the "oh, ****" handles right on the bottom of the thighs.
