gaillarry Posted August 11, 2011 #1 Posted August 11, 2011 Just changed the rear tire and confused about the assembly of the spacers on the rear wheel. I read the posts on the tech pages about the spacers but I have a thick spacer not shown in those photos. I've highlighted it below. Where does it go? (I have the nut and washer for the other side) http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/gaillarry/VentureAxleSpacers-1.jpg
Sylvester Posted August 11, 2011 #2 Posted August 11, 2011 What bike is it off? Your profile says Venture Royale 2006. I don't know what that is!
darthandy Posted August 11, 2011 #3 Posted August 11, 2011 Put your city in your profile and someone who is nearby and knowledgeable might even come over and have a look. Andy
Sylvester Posted August 11, 2011 #4 Posted August 11, 2011 If it is indeed a 2006, there are only two washers one before and one after the "rear brake caliper bracket". And like you stated one washer and one nut for the axle.
gaillarry Posted August 11, 2011 Author #5 Posted August 11, 2011 Its a 2008, I can't type worth a crap. Its the spacer on the left of the brake bracket that has me confused. Does this look good now? http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/gaillarry/XVAxles.jpg

V7Goose Posted August 12, 2011 #7 Posted August 12, 2011 FYI - your bike has a Barons lowering kit on it instead of the stock brake caliper bracket. Goose
Sylvester Posted August 12, 2011 #8 Posted August 12, 2011 That would explain a lot. I have never seen one. Good one V7goose.
steamer Posted August 12, 2011 #9 Posted August 12, 2011 Goose beat me to it. Yes it is a lowering kit,I had one on my RSV and the last picture looks right.
SilvrT Posted August 12, 2011 #10 Posted August 12, 2011 FYI - your bike has a Barons lowering kit on it instead of the stock brake caliper bracket. Goose I was looking at that in the original pic and now the one above .... was wondering what the *&$! it was and moreover, what kindof bike as it sure don't look like what is normally there on these bikes.
