bmxndad Posted December 13, 2007 #1 Posted December 13, 2007 He went up a little to far up with the powder coat, I will need to sand that off before i install them. They were right at $100.00 to have powder coated like this. I love them, pretty neat.
Lone Eagle Posted December 13, 2007 #4 Posted December 13, 2007 NOW, That is something totally different - I like that -
Bubbajbi Posted December 13, 2007 #5 Posted December 13, 2007 Post pics when you get those mounted. They look awesome!!!

cecdoo Posted December 14, 2007 #7 Posted December 14, 2007 Dont think you would have any trouble selling sets of those, they do look sweet.
Squidley Posted December 15, 2007 #10 Posted December 15, 2007 It's a different look, I like the idea but dont know if I would want them for myself Anything to make the bike your own is a good thing
BOO Posted December 15, 2007 #11 Posted December 15, 2007 They are very nice looking but they are not me. Nice work. Jerry
DragonRider Posted December 15, 2007 #12 Posted December 15, 2007 That is very, very cool, love the look. I would like to see those on some black pipes...........that would be a cool combo...........
Thom Posted December 16, 2007 #13 Posted December 16, 2007 can the guy that did yours do any kind of pipe tip ?, my stock tips are getting rusty and that looks cool , where they done here fla. ?
bmxndad Posted December 16, 2007 Author #14 Posted December 16, 2007 Yeah, we are both right here in Floirda. As long as the metal is heavy enough to be baked at 400 degrees. He can do pretty much any design or pattern you want.
1BigDog Posted December 17, 2007 #15 Posted December 17, 2007 Yeah, we are both right here in Floirda. As long as the metal is heavy enough to be baked at 400 degrees. He can do pretty much any design or pattern you want. Hmmmm, Thom is pretty well baked as it is.........
bmxndad Posted December 20, 2007 Author #17 Posted December 20, 2007 Does anyone have any idea what the hottest temperature the outside of the pipes get on an RSV? Thanks!
Bubbajbi Posted December 22, 2007 #18 Posted December 22, 2007 Those really look good. Keep us updated on how the coating holds up. If it seems durable enough, I might just go with the BUB exhaust.
bmxndad Posted December 22, 2007 Author #19 Posted December 22, 2007 I am very confident that they will hold up better than the original lousy finish on the Bub tips. I will let all know how they hold up.
bmxndad Posted April 4, 2008 Author #20 Posted April 4, 2008 The powder coat is holding up fairly well. The finish has dulled somewhat from the heat cycles. Still look much better than that crappy finish that was on them.
