Just a comment since I started this thread last week.

The lights were wired incorrectly by the dealer.

I installed a relay under the seat exactly as shown in the above schematic.

I tapped into the red wire with the yellow stripe and also installed a toggle switch

So now I can have my driving lights on with either the low beam or the high beam as I wish.

I don't turn them on until the bike has started and I'm ready to drive away. My driving lights are 50 watt halogen lights and they provide great night time light.

I also have the Buckeye Performance high output stator. All in all it works great.
