gdebruin123 Posted December 12, 2007 #1 Posted December 12, 2007 On my new Venture when I have the audio coming through the headsets I can still hear the music on the rear speakers. Even when I have a headset plugged in the back it has sound coming out of it (in esense both the speakers and helmet.) It it very soft and no major deal but it does not seem right. The front speakers for not have this issue. Anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it?
wuzfuzz Posted December 12, 2007 #2 Posted December 12, 2007 ..... my '03 Midnight does the same thing. One thing odd about the rear speakers --------- they are NOT in stereo........ both are connected to the same input source with "mono" at the output being the result.
BuddyRich Posted December 12, 2007 #3 Posted December 12, 2007 I'm pretty sure they all do it. Mine does it.
gdebruin123 Posted December 12, 2007 Author #4 Posted December 12, 2007 I'm pretty sure they all do it. Mine does it. Seems kind of weird - Why would it do it on rear only and not on front:confused24:
BigShell Posted December 12, 2007 #5 Posted December 12, 2007 Seems kind of weird - Why would it do it on rear only and not on front:confused24: How about a wild guess! The amp has three outputs left and right front and rear (both rear speakers off the same output). Maybe changing from speakers to headset switches the left and right front from the speakers to the headset and attempts to mute the rear speakers by turning the volume down, but not off.
SaltyDawg Posted December 12, 2007 #6 Posted December 12, 2007 Both of mine do it and so does my friends 2003.
yamahamer Posted December 12, 2007 #7 Posted December 12, 2007 Seems kind of weird - Why would it do it on rear only and not on front:confused24: CAUSE IT'S THE ONLY TIME YOU CAN HEAR THE REAR:rotf::rotf:WHEN I RIDE TWO-UP MY WIFES BUTT BLOCKS THE SOUND FROM THE REAR SPEAKERS.....POOR PLACE TO PUT THEM IF YOU ASK ME JUST MY

V7Goose Posted December 12, 2007 #9 Posted December 12, 2007 I certainly do not know for sure, but I have always assumed that this was a kind of "safety" mechanism to remind me that I had left the key in ACC position instead of OFF when working on the bike. IT has actually helped me a couple of times! Goose
