tazman1567 Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 well mine is fine and they recommend 0psi is ideal if you do need air I recommend full capacity otherwise anything in between might hurt the air baffle .I run with 0psi even hauling my trailer and ole lady never had a problem .

toddfop2003 Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 What color is oil that comes out of rear shck seal? I have a puddle two days in a row behind drain tubes for carbs which seem to be in the area?
Semi-retired Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Don't be too concerned about the color, Todd. Where it's coming from is the greater story. If you get down on your back.......get yourself a nice warm "blanky" to lie on.......you SHOULD see the tell-tale drop of oil clinging nicely to the bottom of the linkage on the bottom of the shock. It's always there.....nice a CURSE.....when you've got "leaky shock syndrome"!

Skeeter Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 My 99 RSV has a little over 64,000 miles on it. Last summer, every time I got on it I heard a squeaking noise and when I was going into corners hard I noticed there was a wallow in the rear suspension. Over the winter I bought a Hagon shock. The installation was pretty simple, only took about an hour. I haven't had a chance to ride it yet with our never ending winter season, but I notice the difference just sitting on the bike. It used to have a bouncy feel when I sat on it, now it is nice and stiff. I can't wait to get it out and see how it feels in corners. Skeeter

Red Rider Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Does any one have the part number for the Works shock? Mine started leaking last fall and left a nice puddle under the bike over the winter.
ragtop69gs Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Mine didn't fail but I replaced it anyway at 55K because I got a great deal on a low mileage shock. The original will sit on the shelf just in case.
