Just-Jack Posted December 11, 2007 #1 Posted December 11, 2007 OK I know that it is not us but I am very curious as to who has the most miles on thier motorcycle???? I want proff that your bike has that many miles.....this goes for the first gen and the 2nd gen I thought this could be kind of fun since some of us snow birds can only look at our bikes now.... Jessie:2132:
Steve S Posted December 11, 2007 #2 Posted December 11, 2007 I know I'm not in the running but I have 49K and change. I can't give you the exact figure cause I'm not at home now.
mini-muffin Posted December 11, 2007 #3 Posted December 11, 2007 Ok Jeff's blonde has around 132,000 I'll get pics of that tomorrow a bit dark out now to try and get a picture. I'm not sure of the mileage on the other bikes he has ridden during the same time he's has the blonde. Also the 83 had 42000 on it when we got it three years ago. I think probably Lowell has the most since he's always on the road. Margaret
BEER30 Posted December 12, 2007 #4 Posted December 12, 2007 All I can say is that I have a little over 28K for a scoot less than 20 months old . Purchased my scoot in late March '06 . BEER30
Thom Posted December 12, 2007 #5 Posted December 12, 2007 mine is pretty low , i think it is about 129,000
buddy Posted December 12, 2007 #6 Posted December 12, 2007 MINE ONLY HAS 73,21? MILES. but Wildhair39 has well over 146,000 miles on his First Gen. When we were in Eureka Springs I looked at his bike and it was 146,000+ since then there's no telling how much he has now.
Yammer Dan Posted December 12, 2007 #8 Posted December 12, 2007 P V claimed my latest 1st Gen had 22k but that may be 122k. Looking more like it the more I get into it. just has too much broken stuff for 22k.
cowpuc Posted December 12, 2007 #9 Posted December 12, 2007 Welllll,,, my Blonde 84 Royale has 192000 on her and she is fully retired and sitting outside dismantled under tarpage. She spent over 50000 miles of her ending life with no second gear and me short shifting her.. I bought her with 22k on her and crossed the country on her back MANY times, usually with a kid on the back.. Her carbs, seat, rear floor boards, low cut windshield, radio/intercom, engine guards, progressive fork springs, fork brace, mirrors and cruise are now on my 83.. It would take some digging to unbury her carcass from the snow and uncover her just to take a couple pics in the dark so you will just have to trust me.. Oh,, wait a minute,, just found some pics of the dismantle process.. Hey,, this sure brings back some awesome memories of an AWESOME scoot - THANKS FOR ASKING!!! 'Puc
juggler Posted December 12, 2007 #10 Posted December 12, 2007 I know I do not have the most miles, but I do have 72K on my '99 RSV.
Mobile Posted December 12, 2007 #11 Posted December 12, 2007 There is a local Venture rider who has over 750,000 km or 457,500 miles on one of his 1st. generation bikes, he bought it new he also has a few other bikes that he has put on fairly decent mileage on. He is a kinda private guy so he shall remain that way ! ! ( Mobile )
Chuckles Posted December 12, 2007 #12 Posted December 12, 2007 I know I'm not in the running, but my '86 has 116,xxx on her now. Had 101,000 when I got it last year. Chuck
86er Posted December 12, 2007 #13 Posted December 12, 2007 Ok, my '86 1st gen only has 5 thousand on the odo. But this is a picture I took in early Sept of this year. I know that due to the sun's angle it looks like 10000 but trust me, it is really 00000. The dealer's sign has nothing to do with this thread, but I couldn't resist.....I LOVE IT!
Guest tx2sturgis Posted December 12, 2007 #14 Posted December 12, 2007 Thought I'd show yall the odometer reading from my 2000 ElectraGlide...70,923...a bit blurry, the camera was on low batteries and the flash wouldnt charge...but you can see the reading anyway... My Venture is new, and only has about 2500 so far.
Guest tx2sturgis Posted December 12, 2007 #15 Posted December 12, 2007 The dealer's sign has nothing to do with this thread, but I couldn't resist.....I LOVE IT! Harleys and Buells are 'Road Bikes'..so therefore...the sign is closer to the pavement, where it oughta be!!!

Yammer Dan Posted December 12, 2007 #20 Posted December 12, 2007 "BLUE BEAST" had 98700 when she went down. May have been 198,700.
loehring Posted December 12, 2007 #21 Posted December 12, 2007 My '89 has 90k on her. I bought her 2 years ago with 26k. Still runs great and the only engine work I've had to do is clutch and carb diaphrams. I commute 100+ miles per day on her and love every minute of it.
Big Daddy Posted December 12, 2007 #22 Posted December 12, 2007 My 83 Standard has just over 130,000 on her and still looks real good. She won best of show last spring @ the MTA rally in La Crosse Wisconsin. Not the high mileage winner but up there anyhow!
