08 West Coast Meet ???

Ok, its almost the First of January, 08 !!!

 

Any comments on a West Coast Ralley this Year ???

I was wondering the same thing, George. Even though it seems I don't get to go 50% of the time, hopefully someone will get this going. Who knows it may fall during a time when I can go.

Not exactly West Coast but a small group of us (Guys I ride with from work) are going to Ouray,Colorado August 24TH thru August 30TH 2008...If anyone wants to meet up we will be in the KOA campground in Ouray.

Condor, Rich, and some of us from NorCal have been talking about getting together next year. At our latest meet and eat - couple of weekends ago - we came up with a loose plan to get together every other month - i.e. Feb. April (maybe Grand Canyon), June (maybe Carson City area), August (maybe a weekend in Morro Bay), October.

 

I've sent out a prelimenary e-mail to the NorCal gang - and DKnight - and am going to probably put up a poll in the next week to see where all everyone might want to go. Nothing scientific, but some rumbling and murmuring has been going on down here.

Been doing this ride every other year.... 01, 03, and 05 for the 4-Corners Rally but missed it this year. Pretty good rally, and one of the best 10 train rides in the U.S., the Durago-Silverton. Took the train one day from Durango to Silverton taking the bus back, then took the same ride the following day with the motorcycle to Ouray; some of the best scenery I've ever seen. Here's a couple of pics. Train ride, the last of three 11,000 ft. pass's, and parked in Ouray for lunch, "great ride". If it weren't such a long ride (always 8 days for me), it would be a great VWIV ride.
