I thought I posted back to this earlier. Damn percocets.

They are all the same on the 1st gens.

The R(eally)S(low)V(enture)'s are different.

I thought so Gary. Thanks. 18 bucks for all three bearings?? Don't sound bad I really haven't checked that close just thought it would be nice to do my extra set of wheels.

while you are in there you should also consider replacing the needle bearing that is way back in there. It is also a wheel bearing, often gets neglected and is a proprietary Yamaha bearing so somewhat expensive, but worth doing.

Not disagreeing with replacing the needle bearing, but it isn't an easy item to do and get right.

Takes a guide tool and a press to do it.

I tried getting one out of a spare final drive I had, and it did not come out in one piece. After that experience, I have left well enough alone.

not disagreeing with you but my experience was different. The one I did came right out using a blind bearing puller and a little heat.I don't remember how I installed it that was 10 years ago but my usual process is bearing in freezer for 30 min and heat housing.Did drive bike for many miles afterwards with no problems.Maybe I was just lucky???:confused24:
